These small groups meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM, just before the worship celebration and are designed to provide Biblical knowledge and Christian growth that meet an individuals needs. Many adults are use to the formal "Sunday School" tradition, in which classes meet every week and a teacher gives a prepared lesson. At Berean, we're seeking to expand this idea into a means of discipleship, fellowship, and encouragement that meets the needs of each person and family.
Our small groups enjoy great fellowship at regular activities. Individuals pray for each other in their groups. Each small group "adopts" one or more missionaries in order to foster a worldwide vision of the kingdom of God. Come and have a look at some of these groups to find out where you belong!
Here is a sampling of what is going on currently:
discovering church membership
This class is offered as the need arises. Topics discussed include Berean's purpose as a church, our beliefs and biblical doctrines, opportunities for ministry, and our philosophy of worship. Everyone interested in becoming a part of what God is doing at Berean is welcome!
God's faithfulness to His people
Dennis Rinehart is leading this group of adults who are studying the books of Jeremiah and Lamentations with a focus on God's faithfulness to His people during difficult times and experiences. Though we may struggle, falter and fail under the pressures of this world, God's mercy grace and truth remain unchanged and unchangeable!
college and young adults Bible study
This class is normally composed of college aged adults and young single or married couples. The class meets upstairs in the finance office and is taught by Sean Agnew.
