At Berean, we believe that every believer in Christ is gifted and equipped in special ways by God. Everyone's gifts are different: one individual might be delighted to work with children, while another feels a trickle of cold sweat at the thought of dealing with kids! nursery workers

Every week, Berean members volunteer their time watching little ones so that their families can be in the worship service. Contact Cheryl Rinehart for information about helping in Berean's nursery.

AWANA leaders

We are blessed by God to be a ministry to many children in the AWANA ministry. Many of these need one-on-one attention as they read and learn Bible verses.

children's church

Our Children's church ministry is a valuable asset to our congregation. God has chosen special people who are willing to give of their time and utilize the gifts that God has blessed them with. Teaching children is a rewarding experience and presents challenges as well. If you feel God is leading you to help out in this area there is always an opportunity to serve.

youth leaders

With five leaders, all volunteer, our youth program is growing by leaps and bounds! With that growth comes added needs for mature Christians to disciple our teenagers. We look forward with anticipation to see what God has in store for our young people!

audio/video technicians

A highly important but often overlooked area of ministry is the operation of the sound system, involving amplification, recording, mixing, and monitor control. Also, videorecording of our services allows us to extend our ministry through Charlottesville's public access television.

worship team

Berean's worship team practices every Sunday morning from 8:30-9:30, and Wednesday evening from 7:30-8:30. As lead worshippers, we take seriously the ministry of true worship. We strive to bring sound doctrine and uplifting music together to worship with the congregation in spirit and in truth.

sunday school teachers

Teaching our children to "be the church" is an important calling. Sunday School teachers explain Bible truths to kids, lead in songs about Jesus, and encourage them in applying the Bible to their lives.
